This mod is primarily intended to be used on 'HOOK' (offhandhook, grapple, lightning robe ...) servers with gametypes FFA, TDM and 1v1.
It requires NO client installation except standard Quake III 1.11 - 1.16 installation.

Finally Version 2.3 beta is ready for public download.

CHANGE LOG 2.3 BETA:

Cvars

- added g_highScores
- added g_highAcc
- added g_highAccShots

Improved

- updated ip2country file
- new layout in default.cfg and cvarlist
- changed readme from txt file to html file
- ammo and weapon pickup
- bothook have now 5 different hook styles
- client will see his own accuracy on the screen

Bugs

- fixed mute bug when map change
- fixed plasma, bfg, vortex suck in CTF mode
- fixed spectator camera for splashdamage of weapons

Some people dont know how to work with Beta v. N the Beta - s r not full ver. U cant use it completely. And if u want to ride a car - u buy a car, if u want to play a game - u buy a game. Theres no need for Beta-s -.-

yes some ppl dont know how to use beta versions. but that you can say of final or any other versions too. because some ppl cant take a look at the readme / dont have time to read the readme / or are just too stupid. in the new beta you have all features of the old final version + bugfixes + some new features. (take a look at my change logs). so i dont know what you mean with "U cant use it completely.". we call it beta because we dont know, if there are bugs left or maybe somebody want a new feature in this version number. our beta versions are stable versions. we are only humans and we spend much of our freetime to do this and we dont getting paid for that, so we publish first beta versions and after we killed the bugs + build in feature wishes, we publish a final version. sure we can wait till all is perfect, but then maybe quake 3 is dead, especially the q3 hook scene.

you musnt buy this game. you already bought it. ;) this is only a server side mod for that you must not pay anything. server side means you only must download /install this mod into your q3 folder and can start a server with the mod.

its normal to make beta versions of software, but not all publishers call it so, because of ppl like you. we can call all our versions "final" or "gold edition" or just a number, but so the users know that there are maybe bugs inside. so they musnt cry when they have a bug because we will fix it.

he. all servers u play on are modded and all of that mods have issues, sry psycho.
hux himself provide a lot of his free time to test and spread great bma mod.
hes the one that bring their new software to the admins and players and bring back critics to programers.
sure he promote new stuffs that need to be approved. that need an argument.
technical and sure for gameplay fun.
in background we deal with q3. we have orbb and sarge and dm17. but in this framework theres more then 1 way to have fun.
look other big games. cs? is a mod, written by freaks in free time mostly. has none to do with halflife, was buggy for jears / developed (maybe the taste of players changed over time and it was better before :) )

whatever.
u must look the features list, its reading for hours through functions.
they made a freeze (modification of originally bought team deathmatch) in their mod too, could be worth a try setup and play a round in server.
btw they even code for gamers that they would never play with. they made a windows installer.

hm sry for strong words. take a look in server setup, open urself 1 dedicated on local pc and connect a round.
try to conf it till u have ur "perfect server". i know u have internet, open the wall a bit and invite someone :)

Mods are good things. Even if they are bit buggy (ahem...) they are true blessing. :) They are made by people who like the game. By gamers for gamers. :P I don't use too much mods but still I like them. I'm still waiting for multiplayer mod for Fallout 2.Image

sry wurst, but there is no freeze feature in our mod yet. we will build in some special freeze mode in one of our next releases. Image

aha ok then i missunderstood some Image Image Image Image

anyways, theres for sure many hook settings and theres some funny weapon mode that launch grenades where projetctile hits the wall.
unique for this mod is that bots can hook. i saw this nowhere else working...
